Our photographic gallery contains
sample images under seven headings, each illustrating the different
areas of photography we specialise in, and here each heading is
explained:-
Industrial
Photography
This is one of the areas where we can really excel – the dirtier
the better! We see situations differently. Over the years we have
gained experience working in noisy, dirty, confined spaces within
the workings of industry and we are able to get good imagery from
almost any situation (I emphasise almost!!). So whether it is above
ground or deep down under, from a tower crane or a ladder, we will
go the extra mile to produce imagery that enhances your business
or product.
People
Photography
There is an art to photographing people – and we think we
can make a rather good job of it. Whether it is company execs, chairman’s
of industry or the office cleaner, be honest no one really likes
having their photograph taken, or they all say they don’t!
Having your photograph taken isn’t painful, in fact you shouldn’t
feel a thing physically, but you may feel a little self-conscious.
A good photographer will put you at ease and make you feel comfortable
in front of the camera, pose you in such a way as to flatter you
and generally take the emotional discomfort away.
Architectural
Photography
Architects go to great lengths to design buildings not only to look
good, but also to function well for the purpose intended. When given
the brief to photograph a building we intend to record both the
beauty and the functionality by taking overall shots of buildings
and detail shots. We have specialist equipment to enable us to get
the best shots weather it be in a confined space or a factory the
size of 4 football pitches. Some buildings look fantastic at night,
some require pure blue sky (can be difficult in the UK!!) and others
more moody weather conditions. We have used boats, planes, and cranes,
to ensure we get the best view.
Interior
Photography
From bathrooms to ballrooms, taking good photographs inside can
present a real challenge. There is often mixed lighting present
and sunlight streaming in from windows can cause real problems.
Our job is to overcome any issues and deliver a stunning result
taken from exactly the right spot at the right time of day with
additional lighting often essential to create the right look, and
subtle inclusion of props to make all the difference. Ultra wide
lenses for confined spaces and sometimes adopting a more unusual
viewpoint are all part of the service.
Product
Photography
When buying a product either from a catalogue or on the internet,
the customer wants to see a photograph of what they are going to
get and this is where we come in. Some products (very shiny objects
being one example) are notoriously difficult to photograph well,
and a good photograph can make a big difference to product sales.
We can photograph products in a studio, on location, or bring the
studio to you? No we don’t turn up with a porta cabin and
decamp in the car park, but if you have the space we can create
a “studio” on location, bringing along studio lighting,
backdrops, a laptop to control the camera and preview the images
immediately, and of course most importantly a camera (sometimes
two)!! You have convenience of not having to travel and can still
be on hand to deal with issues arising at the company.
Location
Photography
Anywhere other than in a studio? – well almost! I suppose
what we are trying to say is that we can work anywhere. We are adaptable
to the needs of our clients and can photograph almost anything -
almost anywhere. Our clients commission us to shoot landscape photographs
for brochure, website, calendar and to illustrate books. We photograph
vehicles for magazines, and fashion shoots out on location. We work
all over the UK and travel abroad when the need arises. Sometimes
our brief is very specific to capture a look or a particular view,
other times a brief can be loose. Location, weather, and timing
play an important part in good location photography – it really
is a case of “right place - right time!” The skill is
in making sure you are in just the right place, at just the right
time.
Fine
Art
Photography
We don't really get involved in shooting images for stock photographic
libraries as most of our work is commissioned, but over time we
have amassed a collection of really nice images, some abstract,
some landscape and we have made them available for sale. In this
gallery is a selection of images offered for sale on an individual
image basis. We offer them for sale for licensed reproduction in
brochure, or to accompany a press release, illustrate articles,
books, or simply as a piece of art to hang on the wall. We offer
framed photographic prints, canvases and other display options.
Enquire for more details or with specific image requirements.
